I am a self-taught painter from Kansas City, Missouri, whose artistic journey began at a young age. As an introspective child who loved solitude, I found refuge in my room with Barbies and writing.

When my new next-door neighbors turned out to be the city's legendary painter couple, Lou Marak and Philomene Bennett, my life changed. They taught me how to translate my journal's whispers into the colorful, spiritual language of paint and introduced me to my lifelong passion.

Unlike most children eager to broadcast their inner discoveries, I cherished my privacy and understood instinctively that my art was deeply personal—like my journals, intimate conversations with myself and God. They were my therapy, my best friend, guarding my inner truth from a world constantly seeking to redefine me, scripting my existence.

Finding my place and purpose in the world has been a lifelong journey. Early on, art school seemed like the logical path, but after being accepted to L'École des Beaux Arts in Avignon, the art school of my dreams, I realized I didn't want to be shaped or taught how to express myself. So instead, I continued studying literature and foreign languages and kept painting. In the early 2000s, while working with kids in Chicago, my paintings were accidentally discovered. I was urged to share them, and my first show sold out. Since then, I've been sharing my paint journals worldwide.

Painting remains my greatest therapy. Hearing how my art brings joy to others has given my life profound meaning. Thank you to everyone who's supported me along the way!
